Bill and Donna
I had been called out nine years earlier by a different home owner about cracks in the swimming pool.  The pool itself looked like a cracked egg shell.  There had to been over two hundred feet of structural and cosmetic cracks.  The previous home owner had done an epoxy injection of the cracks.  Some had failed and other new cracks had shown up.  Bill and Donna wanted to spend more time in their backyard and wanted the pool to be more inviting with a natural feel.  Bill and Donna's back porch was a wooden deck that connected three outside doors.  They worried about rodents living under the deck and wanted a concrete surface.  The existing pool deck was a spray deck surface that flaking and cracking everywhere.  The diving board had been cracked and removed long ago with the stand remaining acting as a flower pot.  Additionally, the swimming pool equipment was a complete mess of pipes and values that went every which way.

Aquamaid removed all of the deck surfaces and concrete.  The pool shell was treated with an epoxy injection for the existing and new cracks.  A new propane gas line was ran to replace the existing line to accommodate a new gas powered heater.  A raised was a created in the back of the pool with two waterfalls that created a tranquil sound of water.  The diving board was removed and replaced with a jump rock.  Oklahoma flagstone was used to replace the existing coping and was also used to cap the benches and steps inside the pool.  A Goldline Wireless control system was installed so that the waterfall and all of the pool could be managed at a push of a button.

The following just a summary of what Aquamaid performed to transform this backyard into an oasis.

  • Removed the existing deck, tile and diving board stand.
  • Created a raised wall at the back of the pool and installed two water falls.
  • Relocated and replaced the pool lighting with a ColorLogic Led light that changes color on demand or automated.
  • Installed a jump rock.
  • Poured a new concrete surrounded by large flower beds giving Bill and Donna room for entertainment with friends and family.
  • Introduced a Oklahoma flagstone rocks onto the pool steps and benches to enhance the natural look of the pool.
  • Installed all new Hayward swimming pool equipment with a Goldline wireless control system so that all functions of the swimming pool could be controls from either inside or outside of the house.
  • Bill and Donna choose a 60% Quartz with a gray color plaster to finish off the look of the pool surface.

With so many pipes, this old equipment was almost impossible to service.

You can see some of cracks on the deck without even being close to it.

This pool had a deck that went all the way around the pool.  It was replaced and added a Oklahoma flagstone coping to relieve the cracking.

Notice the steps before we added the stone surface.

With the wooden deck removed, you can see the amount of entertainment space available.

The diving board was removed years ago because it was unsafe.  The bolts were rusted to the deck and you can see it was really an eye sore.
